Sharing Jewish Stories from Generation to Generation

The Hebrew phrase L’dor v’dor means “from generation to generation,” and it signifies the importance of passing on our heritage—our traditions, our values, and our stories—to those who come after us. It is in that spirit that we have dedicated our lives to preserving and sharing Jewish stories. The Philipson Warech Collection is our effort to rescue the evidence, to preserve the Jewish legacies that were silenced by destruction or have simply faded into obscurity.

Now, we ask you to join us.
As generations have passed, taking their untold stories with them, our collection has become a living monument to their memories. To that end, we were compelled to use this platform to tell their stories, asking visitors to examine Jewish history—from the horrors of the Holocaust to the inspirational stories of Jewish cultural leaders, athletes, artists, scientists, and more—in a deeper and more nuanced way than they ever have.
